write your story as an agent of change.
Wednesday, 12 August 2009

Hello, Folks,

Busy lahat tayo.  Which is good. This should actually be an asset in terms of what I am about to propose.

I would like to invite YOU to write your story as an agent of change.

Ikuwento ho ninyo what has it been like for you to be fighting against poverty, hunger, illiteracy, and injustice in the homeland.

Lahat tayo eh we play a unique role to help those in need: family, friends, strangers, initiatives, communities, etc.  Iba-iba. Makulay, I am sure.  Kasi, just by reading the postings, I can see na iba't iba talaga tayo which is really cool. Sa madalit sabi, the fight against poverty, etc comes in different colors and sizes.

So, eto iyong tentative na questions that should guide our personal story:
Why are we interested in social change?  What motivates us to fight poverty?
What have we done to fight poverty, hunger, illiteracy, and injustice- writing, community action, joined an organization that fights poverty, established own organization to fight poverty and injustice?
How do we see our efforts contribute to creating a better Philippines?
How do we work with others to make a community-level impact?
When do we do our work?  Fulltime? Part-time? Kung may panahon lang? With others? As an individual?
How do we characterize and describe our encounters with the poor, with communities, etc?
Who are we working with to fight poverty?
Share a story of change that you consider as most significant so far.

I-share din ninyo what else we should include in this list ha.

Para engaging at masaya iyong write-up natin, we write in the first person.  At kuwento style sana.  Any examples that you guys can think of?

Siguro ang title eh, Poverty Fighters in the 21st Century or something like that.  Something catchy.  Or Poverty is History in the 21st Century.  Isip pa.  Suggestments lang ang mga ito.

Ano ho sa palagay niyo?

Hope to hear from you all,

Amanda
