“I STAND FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE”
Opposition Sen. Chiz Escudero yesterday rejected a team-up with Sen. Manny Villar even as the latest SWS survey shows a likely win for them if presidential elections are held today.
“Impossible. It will never happen. I stand for good governance,” the 39-year old lawmaker said.
It is more than a week now when Sen. Aquino revealed his 2010 Political plan; it is to run for the country's top seat. I really have no idea what pushes him for the grab. Was it his personal will or was he just motivated by his political allies' interests? Did he stand before the call of the time, that the country needs a President who will change the usual practices or he was just overwhelmed by the popularity of his parents? I do not know why people are in clamor for him to join the race wherein his is no different individual to the rest who have the same plan for 2010. If there is; it is – he is a son of a two Democratic icons.
